Jubilee's Jeremiah Kioni on Friday, March 20, held a high-level meeting with DCP Boss Rigathi Gachagua.
The meeting, which included former Nyandarua Governor Francis Kimemia, was characterized by Kioni as straightforward and concentrated on urgent national issues.
"We engaged in discussions about the critical challenges our nation is facing and the essential need to restore stability, dignity, and economic order," he explained.
Kioni highlighted that the conversations explored the widening disconnect between leaders and the public, emphasizing the need for leadership that is responsive and centered around the people.
The leaders deliberated on strategies to bridge this gap and tackle the systemic issues impacting governance and national unity.
"Our dialogue was aimed at creating a united, inclusive, and pragmatic approach to saving our country from the shortcomings of the current administration," Kioni stated.
"This moment demands courage, transparency, and a renewed dedication to the hopes of our citizens."
This meeting takes place against the backdrop of broader political changes, including the recent switch of Millicent Omanga to the DCP.
Gachagua welcomed Omanga at the party's Nairobi headquarters, commending her integrity and commitment to public service.
In response, Omanga urged Nairobi residents to rethink their support for President Ruto, arguing that he has not fulfilled his promises to the populace.
She also demanded an apology from the voters for endorsing leadership that she claims has failed to meet critical commitments.
The engagement between Kioni and Gachagua indicates an ongoing dialogue among opposition leaders as they seek to develop strategies to impact national policy, foster unity, and address perceived deficiencies in governance within the country.
