Confusion in Kitui as Suspected Thieves Disguised as Drug Dealers Escape After High-Speed Chase

 

Residents of Kitui County were left in shock after a dramatic police chase involving a group of suspected thieves who had disguised themselves as drug traffickers ended with the suspects abandoning over KSh 200,000 in cash before disappearing into nearby bushes. 

The strange incident, which happened late at night along a dusty murram road near the town outskirts, attracted huge crowds after police officers recovered sacks believed to contain suspicious goods together with bundles of money scattered on the ground.

According to eyewitnesses, the suspects were travelling in a speeding vehicle that drew the attention of police officers manning a roadblock. 

Officers reportedly signaled the car to stop, but the driver instead accelerated, forcing police to launch a high-speed chase through several villages. 

Residents said the suspects appeared highly organized and determined to escape at all costs, with some even throwing objects onto the road in an attempt to slow down the pursuing officers.

Family members of one of the suspects later claimed that the young man had allegedly fallen into bad company after struggling financially for years.READ MORE................
