Njeri Maina had previously accused Malala of conducting a covert meeting with Members of County Assembly linked to Governor Anne Waiguru.

She claimed that the purpose of this meeting was to establish a breakaway faction to oppose leaders associated with Gachagua in the region.

Additionally, she alleged that financial incentives were provided to those who attended, which has increased political strife.

Nevertheless, their simultaneous appearance might suggest an attempt to convey a sense of unity, at least in public, as the party aims to strengthen its support base.

Several individuals observed that being with Gachagua at Omanga’s reception might indicate efforts to address internal conflicts.

During his speech at the event, Gachagua reaffirmed his dedication to fortifying the DCP in preparation for the 2027 General Elections.

He underscored the necessity of unity and discipline within the party, mentioning that new members like Omanga contribute valuable experience and grassroots support.

Omanga’s joining the DCP is anticipated to enhance the party's visibility, particularly in Nairobi, as political dynamics continue to reshape the country's landscape.
