Oparanya's Girlfriend Mary Biketi Addresses Claims He Dumped Her, Moves from Kileleshwa to Syokimau

Mary Biketi, the girlfriend of Cooperatives and MSMEs Cabinet Secretary Wycliffe Oparanya, has strongly dismissed claims that she and the CS have separated or that she is facing financial difficulties.

The rumors began circulating after a popular social media Q&A session hosted by blogger Edgar Obare, where an anonymous user alleged that Biketi and Oparanya broke up in mid-2024.

The post also suggested that Biketi had moved from her Kileleshwa home to Syokimau or Mlolongo and was struggling financially while maintaining a luxurious image.

Responding to the gossip, Biketi firmly denied the claims. She clarified that she still lives in a comfortable leafy estate and is focused on her professional projects in Trans Nzoia.

“While I am busy with real work, some people choose to spread misinformation. It is unfortunate, do better,” she said, directly addressing the false stories.

Her post sparked debates on social media, with some users praising her for speaking out, while others continued to speculate about her relationship with the CS. Comments ranged from support for her stance to skepticism about the situation.

Biketi and Oparanya’s relationship has often attracted attention due to his polygamous status. The CS has two wives, Priscillah and Caroline, and has openly spoken about needing a girlfriend due to his busy schedule and the separate residences of his wives.

Biketi revealed that they first met on a flight from Wilson Airport to Kisumu, and that marked the start of their relationship.

In addition to addressing breakup rumors, Biketi shared a personal experience from 2024 when she lost her unborn child. 

She explained that the stress following the public attention on her relationship contributed to her heartbreak, but she expressed gratitude for the support of friends during that period.

Despite the ongoing speculation, Biketi insists that she remains well-off, focused on her projects, and continues to maintain a positive outlook on life.

She also continues to celebrate her relationship with Oparanya, having recently posted a birthday message for him earlier in the year.
