Business is slowly picking up at Keumbu Market after traders publicly apologised over last week's deadly attack on a Linda Mwananchi convoy along the Kisii-Keroka Highway.
Businesswomen at the market have thanked travellers who accepted their apology, according to a video shared on Facebook.
The market had been boycotted by traders and commuters after the July 3 attack, in which stones were hurled at the convoy and one youth died in the ensuing chaos.
Matatu operators reportedly directed drivers to bypass Keumbu Market after online activists accused local traders of being behind the attack, a claim vendors have strongly denied.
