Gachagua Lands in Hot Soup as Government Exposes His Alleged 2027 Plan

The political contest ahead of the 2027 General Election continues to gather momentum after Interior Cabinet Secretary Kipchumba Murkomen accused former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua of creating an atmosphere of fear and tension in the Mt Kenya region.

Speaking during a public engagement, Murkomen claimed that Gachagua's recent political activities and statements are intended to make residents believe they are under political siege.

According to the Interior CS, such narratives risk increasing anxiety among the public and could undermine efforts to promote peace and national unity.

"Gachagua is on a mission to create an atmosphere of fear and siege in the Mt Kenya region," Murkomen said, urging leaders to embrace issue-based politics instead of divisive rhetoric.
