According to police, Brian Mwakha had visited his kamba girlfriend, Gladys Mutisya. What happened next would allegedly turn into a deadly confrontation.

Police say the argument quickly escalated into a physical fight. In her initial statement, Gladys claimed Brian headbutted her during the confrontation, forcing her to flee the house. She told detectives that when she later returned, she found him dead.
However, as investigations progressed, detectives say her account changed. Police allege that Gladys later confessed to stabbing Brian during the altercation and led investigators to the knife believed to have been used in the incident.
The weapon has been recovered as evidence while forensic examinations continue.
Brian died from the injuries sustained during the confrontation, leaving family and friends mourning a life cut short. Meanwhile, Gladys remains in police custody as detectives finalize their investigations.
