After spending years working tirelessly in the United States, a Kenyan woman has opened up about her decision to voluntarily return home, saying she has never regretted leaving America despite the financial opportunities she left behind.

Lilian, who relocated back to Kenya two years ago after living in the US, said the decision was driven by deeply personal reasons rather than financial hardship. 

While speaking about her journey, she explained that the death of both her parents shortly after she moved abroad changed her outlook on life and convinced her that it was time to return home permanently.

According to Lilian, her mother passed away just six months after she settled in the United States, and her father also died six months later. 

The painful loss meant she missed both funerals, something she says continues to affect her emotionally because she never had the opportunity to say goodbye.

Rather than making a rushed decision, Lilian spent several years preparing for her return. She already owned a quarter-acre piece of land in Kenya and began constructing her dream home while still living abroad.
