Fresh details continue to emerge regarding the suspected targeted killing of Dr. Victoria Nthunya Mutiso, a prominent Kenyan clinical psychologist and Head of Research at the Africa Mental Health Research and Training Foundation (AMHRTF).
According to eyewitness accounts, the incident began when a Toyota Prado TX was seen at the crime scene, parked just behind an Uber vehicle in which Dr. Mutiso was traveling.

The witness said that after the fatal shots were fired, the men in the Prado shouted for help as they watched the attackers flee.
Several people at the scene also reported that the gunmen had been moving ahead of the vehicle sequence, coordinating their escape with riders on a motorcycle.
Dr. Mutiso was tragically killed on Wednesday, July 29, 2026, in a suspected targeted shooting in Nairobi’s Upper Hill area.
Residents and onlookers said the attack unfolded quickly, leaving little time for the victim to react or for passengers to seek safety.
Police and DCI reports indicate that Dr. Mutiso was traveling in a taxi near Kenyatta National Hospital when a four-wheel-drive vehicle blocked the route.
Investigators say the obstruction forced the taxi to stop, creating an opportunity for gunmen operating from a motorcycle to open fire.
