Woman Walks into Lodging with Man, Comes Out Crying Minutes Later after He Did This to Her

A Kenyan woman narrowly escaped a terrifying ordeal in Ruiru after a man she had agreed to accompany to a lodging bit her on the lips.

The incident unfolded on Saturday, July 25, when the woman walked out of the lodge in distress, blood visible on her mouth, and immediately called out for help from people nearby.

In a video shared by one of the residents, locals responded to her cries quickly and surrounded the man. The footage, which has since gone viral, captured the woman in tears, pleading with the crowd gathered around him.

"Don't release him, he has bitten me," she said, visibly shaken as she recounted what had happened inside the room.

Police arrived at the scene following calls from residents and placed the man under arrest.

He is now widely suspected of being the so-called Ruiru vampire, a figure linked to a series of biting incidents that have unsettled locals in the area.

The arrest has added fresh urgency to growing fears in Ruiru, where reports of a man biting members of the public have been circulating for some time.

The suspect's method in Saturday's incident, luring a woman to a private space before attacking her, has raised alarm about how he has been operating.

Adding weight to those concerns, a separate Ruiru man recently came forward to share his own account of escaping who he believed to be the same individual.

His story, which had begun circulating before the latest arrest, suggested the suspect had been active in the area for a while.

The suspect remains in police custody as authorities investigate the matter further.
