ODM on the Brink? Ngogoyo Alleges Ruto's Secret Plan to Kick Out Babu Owino & Sifuna From The Party

Political tension within the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) is rising following claims by political commentator Ngogoyo that President William Ruto may be seeking to influence the party’s upcoming National Governing Council (NGC) composition.

According to Ngogoyo, there is an alleged political strategy aimed at weakening or isolating Embakasi East MP Babu Owino and Nairobi Senator Edwin Sifuna, two leaders widely seen as strong voices within ODM, especially among younger supporters and reform-minded members of the party.

The NGC is one of ODM’s most powerful decision-making organs. It plays a key role in shaping party policies, handling disciplinary matters, and influencing leadership decisions and nominations.

Because of this, any suggestion that external political forces may try to influence its composition has sparked debate among party supporters and political observers.

Ngogoyo argued that the alleged move reflects a wider pattern in Kenyan politics, where leaders sometimes attempt to influence rival parties indirectly rather than through open political competition.
