Stop Politicking, Start Working If You Want Kenya To Be Like Singapore - Pastor Tells Ruto

A pastor in Murang’a has called on President William Ruto and other political leaders to put aside endless politicking and instead dedicate their time to real development if Kenya is to catch up with developed nations.

President Ruto had outlined ambitious plans to transition Kenya into a first-world country, specifically modeling Singapore, Japan, South Korea, and Malaysia.

In what was seen as a direct response to the president, the pastor stressed that leaders were elected to serve the people and not to trade insults or waste time in unproductive rivalries.

The Head of State spoke of bold infrastructure projects potentially costing over Ksh5 trillion, to be funded through novel mechanisms including a National Infrastructure Fund and a Sovereign Wealth Fund, rather than traditional debt or additional taxes.

He reminded the congregation that nations like Singapore, South Korea, and Malaysia managed to rise from poverty to prosperity because their leaders prioritized work over politics.
