Orengo, a fierce critic to the current government stated that today's act invoked the spirit of the country's liberation icons the late Raila Odinga and his late father Jaramogi Oginga Odinga whom he credited with shaping a tradition of standing against injustices.
A legal showdown now looms with the veteran lawyer indicating that their focus will now shift at securing the freedom of everyone who was arrested today during the demonstrations
"Carrying forward the fearless legacy of Jaramogi Oginga Odinga and Raila Odinga, we stood up for every Kenyan today, and I’m proud to say my son, Mike, was right there by our side. Tomorrow, our fight moves to the courtroom. We will be there to secure the freedom of everyone detained today" Orengo posted.
