“We Want to Stay With Grandma” – Emotional Plea by Bomet Children During Mother’s Burial Breaks Hearts

 

A heartbreaking tragedy in Bomet left an entire community in mourning after two young children witnessed the violent death of their mother, Faith Chepngeno, allegedly at the hands of their father. 

The incident, which ended with the father also taking his own life, created a wave of sorrow, confusion, and deep emotional trauma that continues to affect the family. 

At the burial, the children clung tightly to their grandmother, begging not to be taken back to the home where the horrifying events occurred.

According to the grieving grandmother, the children have been living in constant fear since that day. 

Kiptoo, the eldest, reportedly recounted the terrifying moment his mother was attacked, saying he feels unsafe even when left alone for a short time. 

The younger child, still trying to process the loss, struggles to understand what happened, only knowing that their mother is gone. 

The family now faces the difficult task of helping the children heal from both grief and trauma.
