Rigathi Gachagua has called on Kenyans living abroad to support the growing campaign to unseat William Ruto in the 2027 General Election, saying the current economic situation in the country has become unbearable for millions of citizens.
Speaking during the first day of his tour of the United Kingdom, the leader of the Democracy for Citizens Party (DCP) said he was deeply concerned about the rising cost of living, particularly after the latest increase in fuel prices.

Addressing members of the Kenyan diaspora in London, Gachagua urged them to use their voices and influence to help bring change in the country.
“The situation at home is unbearable, and we need you around to help us put pressure on William Ruto so that he can come to his senses if it is possible,” Gachagua said.
The former deputy president explained that he had planned several activities during his UK visit, but decided to cut some of them short because of the urgent need to return home and address the challenges facing Kenyans.

During the visit, Gachagua also used the opportunity to promote his newly launched political outfit, the Democracy for Citizens Party.
