A pastor from Homa Bay County has painfully opened up about how his addiction to betting destroyed his finances, strained his ministry, and pushed him into heavy debt despite earning a monthly salary of KSh 32,000.

The 34-year-old preacher, who requested anonymity, revealed that what started as harmless football predictions among friends slowly became a dangerous habit that consumed nearly every coin he earned. 

At first, he believed betting would help him supplement his income and support his young family, but things quickly spiraled out of control.
