"We Know What Baba Raila Odinga Stood For” Furious Sifuna Lectures ODM Leaders Face To Face

ODM Secretary-General Edwin Sifuna has paid a glowing tribute to Raila Amollo Odinga, affirming that Kenyans fully understand the values, principles, and sacrifices the long-serving opposition leader represented.

Speaking during a public event attended by leaders from across the political divide, Sifuna described Raila as a statesman whose legacy transcends politics and continues to inspire generations.

According to Sifuna, Raila’s decades-long contribution to Kenya’s democratic journey is undeniable.

He noted that the ODM leader consistently fought for constitutional reforms, social justice, and equity values that shaped modern governance structures.

Sifuna reminded the audience that Raila endured detention, intimidation, and political persecution, yet remained steadfast in advocating for a freer and more inclusive society.

Sifuna emphasized that Raila stood for courage in the face of oppression, fairness in the distribution of national resources, and transparency in government.

He added that Raila’s unwavering commitment to democracy built a foundation on which Kenya’s current political freedoms rest.

“There is no Kenyan who can claim not to know what Baba stood for,” Sifuna remarked, insisting that Raila’s legacy is deeply engraved in the country’s political consciousness.

He further called on leaders especially the younger generation to uphold the standards Raila set, arguing that the opposition must remain vigilant in ensuring that the government remains accountable.

Sifuna also praised Raila’s ability to unify diverse communities and champion national cohesion, saying his leadership consistently rose above tribal politics.

The ODM Secretary-General concluded by urging supporters to preserve and advance Raila’s ideals, insisting that Kenya must not forget the struggles that paved the way for democratic space.

He affirmed that Raila Odinga’s name will remain synonymous with resilience, reform, and the fight for justice, making him one of the most influential figures in the nation’s history.
