This strange announcement comes just two days after a woman from Busia claimed to be the Virgin Mary.
The Kakamega man, who says he is 38 years old, told locals that he came to Earth exactly 38 years ago to save the world.
Speaking with confidence, he said, “I am the true God. I came in human form to bring salvation. The world has refused to listen, but I will not stop my mission.”
Dressed in a white robe and carrying a Bible, he walked around the village preaching his message, attracting curious crowds.
Some people laughed, others listened, while a few said they believe he might be telling the truth.
“I have seen signs and dreams. I know this man is not lying,” said one elderly woman from the area.
But others were more cautious, calling for investigations into his mental health.
“This could be a person who needs help. It’s not normal for someone to claim they are God,” said a local church leader.
This comes shortly after a woman in Busia caused a stir by claiming to be the Virgin Mary.
She had said she was sent by God to prepare the world for judgment day. Her claims caused confusion, and police were called in to calm the situation.
Religious leaders have now come out to urge the public to be careful and not be misled. They warned people to stay grounded in the truth and follow the teachings of the Bible carefully.
Psychologists have also advised that some people may make such claims due to personal struggles or mental health issues.
They recommend that such individuals be checked and given professional support if needed.
