Names Of Betty Bayo's Two Children & Her Husband Revealed As MP Pens Emotional Tribute

The names of the late gospel singer Betty Bayo’s two children and her husband have been publicly revealed in a deeply emotional tribute penned by Mathira Member of Parliament, Eric Wamumbi.

As the nation mourns the artist's sudden passing, the MP’s message has offered a personal glimpse into the family she leaves behind.

In his heartfelt statement, Wamumbi directly addressed Bayo’s immediate family, extending his condolences by name.

“My heartfelt condolences to her daughter, Sky, and son Danny, her husband Hiram Gitau, and Betty’s entire family,” the MP wrote.

This public naming of her loved ones has added a poignant layer to the outpouring of grief for the celebrated musician.

The MP’s tribute also recounted his final, hopeful moments with the singer just days before her death.

Wamumbi revealed he had visited Bayo at AAR Hospital on Thursday, where she appeared to be in a stable condition.

“She was doing fairly okay. All her vital organs were stable, and she was breathing normally without a support system,” he recalled.

This made the subsequent news of her passing all the more shocking.

Wamumbi explained that her health took an unexpected and rapid turn for the worse the following day, which prompted her transfer to Kenyatta National Hospital (KNH) for chemotherapy.

Despite this move, Bayo, who was battling acute leukaemia, passed away on Monday. “Her passing was a real shocker; she was okay!” the MP lamented.

The tribute now serves as both a comfort to her grieving family and an official confirmation for a public that held her in high esteem.

As plans for her memorial and burial services begin, the focus remains on the legacy she leaves behind and the profound loss felt by her husband, Hiram, and her young children, Sky and Danny.
