"You Can Never Rule Kenya Without Kikuyu Nation" MP Tells Ruto

Saboti MP Caleb Amisi has publicly recognized the Kikuyu community's significant role in Kenya's economy, saying their entrepreneurial spirit and business skills have been instrumental in driving the country's development. According to Amisi, the community's contribution should never be underestimated.

In his remarks, Amisi cautioned against targeting the Kikuyu community through political battles involving former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua. 

He argued that while political differences may exist, sidelining the community could have wider economic and national consequences.

Amisi advised President William Ruto to engage the Kikuyu community in dialogue, saying their views are important for the country's future. 

He maintained that Kenya's progress has been strengthened by the community's enterprise and that any lasting solution should involve consultation rather than exclusion.

"Anyone who underestimates the Kikuyu community's contribution to our nation is living in a fantasy world. Their entrepreneurial abilities and business acumen have played a key role in Kenya's progress," Amisi said. 

He further urged the President to bring the community to the negotiating table regardless of political differences, insisting that inclusive leadership is essential for national unity.

His comments came as Parliament was preparing to consider impeachment proceedings against former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua. 

Under the constitutional process, the National Assembly would first debate and vote on the motion before it proceeds to the Senate for final determination if approved.
