As he desperately tried to save his own life, some people around him—including individuals who allegedly opposed the Linda Mwananchi movement—reportedly turned against him. Witnesses claim they mercilessly assaulted him, with some shouting, "Finish him!" while others chanted, "Tutam."

What shocked many was that police officers were reportedly present at the scene but did nothing to rescue him. Vincent Osiemo was later pronounced dead on arrival at Kisii Teaching and Referral Hospital.

Just like that, an innocent father of three children lost his life for no apparent reason, allegedly because of political intolerance and violence fueled by a few people said to have been paid to disrupt the event.

It is heartbreaking to think that some politicians, who would hardly even answer your phone call, can influence people to hurt—or even kill—their fellow citizens. Imagine losing your life when you are neither a thief nor someone who wronged another person's family. He was beaten to death simply because of politics. 😥😭

It is deeply painful, and many believe this is a reminder that things must change. No one should ever be forced, intimidated, or attacked because of their political views or for refusing to chant a political slogan.
