"Sit Down and Think", MP Caleb Amisi Urges Ruto While Criticising UDA's Ol Kalou Campaigns

Saboti MP Caleb Amisi has ignited another fierce political debate after launching a blistering attack on President William Ruto over the ruling UDA party's campaign activities in Ol Kalou.

The outspoken legislator argued that Kenya is at a defining political crossroads, insisting that the country deserves a complete renaissance rather than what he portrayed as vote-hunting through large-scale distribution of household items and campaign incentives.

His remarks have once again intensified the already heated national conversation surrounding the #Wantam political movement.

Photos circulating widely on social media showed hundreds of residents receiving mattresses, while another display featured a massive stack of gas cylinders reportedly distributed during the Ol Kalou campaigns.

The images immediately triggered intense political reactions, with supporters and critics offering sharply contrasting interpretations of the events.

While government allies defended the initiatives as development-oriented empowerment programmes, opponents portrayed them as a desperate attempt to consolidate political support in one of the President's traditional strongholds.

The developments also fuelled fierce online debate, with some commentators comparing the political mood in Ol Kalou with other parts of the country.

Several social media users argued that different regions respond differently to campaign incentives, while others maintained that the overwhelming public discussions reflected the changing dynamics ahead of the 2027 General Election.

Some even questioned whether the ongoing political strategy would deliver lasting electoral dividends or merely generate short-term excitement.

As political temperatures continue rising across the country, Amisi's latest remarks have added fresh momentum to the national contest over leadership, governance and the legacy President Ruto will ultimately leave behind.

With the #Wantam narrative gaining increasing attention, Kenya's political battlefield appears set for even more dramatic confrontations in the months ahead.
