"Ruto Can't Defeat Linda Mwananchi in Luo Nyanza" Confident Edwin Sifuna Says as Politics Heat Up

Nairobi Senator Edwin Sifuna has strongly dismissed the influence of President William Ruto's broad based government in the Luo Nyanza region. In recent remarks, Sifuna asserted that the Linda Mwananchi movement holds greater popularity among residents than the president and his allies.

The senator's comments come amid ongoing political tensions and predictions from government supporters about a dominant performance in the 2027 elections.

Sifuna insisted that Ruto cannot defeat the Linda Mwananchi movement in Luo Nyanza, a region traditionally viewed as a key opposition stronghold.

His position challenges claims made by figures such as George Peter Kaluma, who earlier forecasted an overwhelming re-election victory for Ruto with over 80 percent of the national vote and a massive parliamentary majority.

Sifuna's rebuttal suggests that such projections may not hold true in certain parts of the country, particularly in areas with strong grassroots movements. The senator's statement has drawn attention as it highlights divisions within the political landscape. GET FULL STORY HERE.
