My Son Was Loving and Respectful Until He Fell in With the Wrong Friends and Our Family Life Changed in Ways I Never Imagined

My name is Grace, a mother from Kampala, Uganda, and I want to share my story to encourage parents struggling with stubborn children, bad peer influence, and family stress. Some years ago, my son completely changed after joining a group of irresponsible friends in our area. At first, I thought it was just normal youthful behavior, but with time, the situation became frightening and difficult to control.He stopped listening to advice, became aggressive at home, and constantly moved around with people known for bad behavior in the community.

His attitude toward family members changed completely, and he started coming home late at night, speaking rudely, and fighting over small issues. As a mother, watching my own child slowly drift into a dangerous lifestyle broke my heart deeply.The situation became worse when he abandoned school completely and started getting involved in suspicious activities with his friends. Neighbors frequently complained about fights, insults, and other troubling behavior linked to the group he spent time with. Our once peaceful home became full of stress, fear, and endless arguments almost every day.I tried everything possible to help him change. I spoke to relatives, religious leaders, teachers, and even family friends hoping someone could influence him positively, but nothing seemed to work.
