Former Interior Cabinet Secretary Fred Matiang’i has announced he will use a calm and solution-based approach as he prepares for the 2027 general election.
He made the statement on Saturday, while speaking at a public forum covered by Tuko.News.
Matiang’i said he plans to stay away from the loud and confrontational style used by some politicians, including President William Ruto, Raila Odinga, and Rigathi Gachagua.
Instead, he promised to remain respectful and focus on what matters to ordinary Kenyans—better leadership and real change.
“I will not insult anyone or use abusive language,” Matiang’i said.
“That energy is not helpful. I want to use my time to solve the problems facing Kenyans.”
According to him, Kenya’s main problem is not lack of money but poor leadership and bad governance.
