Malala Calls Out Oburu for Advising Ruto to Become 'Benevolent Dictator', Demands Unreserved Apology

Former Kakamega Senator Cleophas Malala has called out Siaya Senator Oburu Oginga over remarks urging President William Ruto to occasionally adopt what he described as a "benevolent dictatorship" to advance the government's agenda.

Malala accused Oburu of making comments that undermine Kenya's democratic gains and called on the veteran politician to issue an unreserved apology to Kenyans.

Taking to social media, the Democracy for Citizens Party (DCP) deputy party leader described the suggestion that Kenya has too much democracy as deeply disappointing.
