Even as Kenyans await to hear the ruling by the High court on the impeachment trial ruling of the former Deputy President, Rigathi Gachagua, his failure to appear before the court has continued to raise mixed reactions from among Kenyans.
With Kenyans lacking a clear explanation as to why the former Deputy President decided not show up to the hearing of his trial, there have been speculation with critics even terming it as a clear sign that the former Deputy President might have sensed defeat.
Among those that have reacted is vocal ODM politician and Homa Bay Town Constituency Member of Parliament Hon. Peter Kaluma.
Speaking through his official X page, the vocal legislator, who is known as a vocal critic of the former Deputy President has argued that the former Deputy President knows clearly why he decided to pull a no show.
"I know you know why," said the vocal ODM politician in his reaction.
The statement by Hon. Peter Kaluma seems to suggest that the Former Deputy seems to be aware of the fact that the ruling by the High court may not be in his favour, thus chosing to stay in the shadows.
The statement also comes at a time when the political temperatures in the country continues to heighten ahead of the 2027 General elections.
The ruling on Gachagua's impeachment by the High court is set to determine on the next course on the members of the opposition, who are yet to settle on their ideal candidate to face President Ruto.
