Like many couples, they reportedly experienced challenges in their marriage over the years, but matters worsened in late 2025 after allegations emerged that the KDF officer had an affair with another soldier.
The tension allegedly forced Nafula to leave their matrimonial home in Gilgil and relocate to Rongo to begin a new life away from the troubled relationship.
Her husband had reportedly been deployed to the Democratic Republic of Congo before he later returned home after an alleged scandal affected his mission. WATCH VIDEO HERE.

Family members said Nafula later informed them that the trip had gone well and that her husband appeared caring and peaceful during the reunion.
However, communication with her suddenly stopped on the night of April 29. Lilian said the husband later sent a message claiming Nafula had returned home safely, but relatives became worried after they failed to reach her.
The family later launched a search before receiving heartbreaking news from police weeks later. Nafula’s body had reportedly been discovered in a hotel bathroom on April 30.
Initial reports suggested she had taken her own life after something was found tied around her neck.
