From Tumutumu Primary School to Karatina Girls High School and later Kenya Polytechnic, her path was defined by ambition and quiet persistence.
In 2017, she moved to the United States, settling in Seattle, where she began working as a Certified Nursing Assistant.

By 2025, Edith had relocated to Knoxville, Tennessee, to pursue her studies as a Licensed Practical Nurse. It was a significant step forward — one that symbolised years of sacrifice finally paying off.
But just as her dreams were taking shape, tragedy struck.
“I felt alone, broken, and far from home,” Edith recalls
Within a span of two months, Edith lost both her father and her brother — a devastating blow that left her emotionally shattered, especially being thousands of miles away from home.
“The pain was too much,” she shared. “I was in a foreign country, grieving alone, trying to stay strong while everything inside me felt like it was falling apart.”
