"We Regret Electing You" Wilson Sossion Sends Sharp Message To Uhuru Following His Recent Remarks

Former Kenya National Union of Teachers (KNUT) Secretary General Wilson Sossion has spoken strongly about the actions of former President Uhuru Kenyatta.

Sossion said many Kenyans, including those who once stood firmly behind Uhuru, now feel betrayed by the way he is handling himself after leaving office.

According to Sossion, Uhuru was once trusted by millions of citizens and leaders who believed in his vision for unity and stability.

However, he claims the former president’s continued involvement in politics has left many of his past supporters disappointed.

“What Uhuru is doing today is making us regret ever supporting him,” Sossion remarked in a recent address.

The former nominated Member of Parliament said Kenyans expected Uhuru to retire peacefully and play the role of a statesman.

Instead, Sossion argues that Uhuru has been actively taking sides in political contests, a move that has created more divisions than unity.

He explained that former leaders should be role models for peace, dialogue, and reconciliation, not players in political battles.

Sossion further noted that Kenya needs harmony during a time when citizens are struggling with economic challenges, high cost of living, and joblessness.

He urged Uhuru to remember that his words and actions still carry weight because of his former position.

“Our people are watching, and when leaders fail to set a good example, the public loses trust in institutions,” he said.

He also asked Uhuru to respect the leadership of President William Ruto and allow him space to govern without unnecessary interference.

According to Sossion, Kenya will only move forward if leaders, both past and present, choose to work together instead of fighting over power.

Despite his harsh criticism, Sossion admitted that Uhuru achieved several positive things during his two terms, such as the expansion of infrastructure and reforms in education.

However, he insisted that these achievements are being overshadowed by the current controversies.

Many political analysts agree that Sossion’s remarks reflect a wider feeling among some Kenyans who expected a calmer and more unifying role from the retired president.

His comments have added to the ongoing debate about the place of former presidents in Kenyan politics.
