Kenyan Youth Activist Who Threatened Mass Killings After Mysterious Death Of Her Relative Breaks Silence

Siman Ahmed Barre, a youth leader and Member of the County Assembly (MCA), has publicly apologized after making threatening remarks in a video.

The video was posted in response to the tragic death of his relative, Ahmed Sheikh Omar, a 25-year-old taxi driver who died in a crash at the end of December.

In the video, Siman expressed his anger and frustration, calling out authorities for not delivering justice for Ahmed's death.

He claimed that Ahmed had been killed while trying to navigate through a traffic stop and alleged that police were involved in the incident.

Family members believe he suffered fatal injuries in a crash involving a vehicle that was illegally carrying goods.

In the days following the crash, Siman’s comments stirred strong reactions from the public.

Many people supported his call for justice, but others raised concerns about his threatening language.

They worried it could lead to further unrest or violence in the community.

Understanding the impact of his words, Siman later issued a statement expressing regret for his choice of language and acknowledging that it was not appropriate.

“My intention was to highlight the need for justice, but I realize the way I expressed my feelings could have been harmful,” Siman stated in his apology.

He emphasized the importance of constructive dialogue and positive action rather than threats.

Following the tragic crash, the family of Ahmed Sheikh Omar reported the incident to the police, but they feel that their complaints have not been taken seriously.
