Poisoned: Unexpected Twist as DCI Finally Reveals What Caused Jirongo’s Death

Investigations into the death of former Lugari Member of Parliament and former Regional Development minister Cyrus Jirongo have taken a dramatic turn following new findings by forensic experts from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations.

The Directorate of Criminal Investigations has indicated that the circumstances surrounding the fatal crash differ significantly from the initial public account.

As part of the ongoing probe, detectives said Jirongo may have been poisoned, hence causing him to lose his consciousness on the highway.

According to investigators, forensic reconstruction suggests that the incident was not a straightforward head-on collision as earlier reported.

Experts established that Jirongo vehicle was first hit on the rear left side by a faster and heavier vehicle while it was slowing down.

This initial impact caused damage to the rear section before the car was forced into a second high-impact frontal crash, which investigators believe caused the fatal injuries.

The findings show that the damage pattern on the vehicle does not match a single collision scenario.

The second impact resulted in extensive frontal damage and intrusion into the cabin area, which is consistent with severe internal injuries.

Investigators also raised concerns over the lack of expected airbag deployment following the frontal impact, prompting questions about vehicle systems and driver condition at the time of the crash.

Authorities have emphasised that these remain investigative leads and that comprehensive forensic analysis is still underway.

The revelations have deepened public interest and concern as family members and political allies continue to demand full transparency.

Police have assured the public that all angles will be thoroughly examined before a final conclusion is reached on the cause of Jirongo's death.
