Emotional Scene As EALA MP Kennedy Kalonzo, His Spouse Visit Raila's Grave In Bondo, Lay A Wreath

Wiper Party leader Kalonzo Musyoka, accompanied by his son EALA MP Kennedy, visited Opods Farm in Bondo on Thursday, 6the, to pay their respects to the late Raila Odinga.

The delegation was warmly received by Mama Ida Odinga and Raila Odinga Jr., who welcomed them into the family home.

The visit was a solemn occasion, reflecting the deep bonds and respect shared between the leaders and the Odinga family.

Following the reception, the group proceeded to Raila Odinga’s resting place.

In a poignant moment, Kalonzo Musyoka, joined by his children, laid a wreath on the grave as a mark of respect and remembrance.

Governors Mutula Kilonzo Jr. and Wavinya Ndeti also paid their respects during the visit, highlighting the unity and shared grief among Kenya’s political leaders and community members.

The visit comes as part of ongoing condolences extended to the Odinga family, who continue to mourn the loss of one of Kenya’s most influential political figures.

Leaders from various political backgrounds have consistently expressed solidarity with the family, showing the nationwide impact of Raila's legacy.

Kalonzo Musyoka continued to eulogise Raila, who was buried a few weeks ago, reminiscing about the good times they shared.

He recalled how they faced challenges together during protests, including an incident that almost claimed Raila’s life.

He stated that Raila would have died and been buried in 2023 during the Azimio la Umoja protests, where his car was hit by 10 bullets.

According to Kalonzo, Raila’s life was saved only because his vehicle was armoured.
