Allegations Emerge on Powerful Forces Pushing Gov't to Introduce Sh 5,000 Notes in Upcoming Days

Former nominated Senator Gloria Orwoba who lost her Senate seat after United Democratic Alliance (UDA) expulsion has attracted huge public attention, after alleging influential forces who are pushing the government to introduce Sh 5,000 notes with lame excuses of trying to boost the economy and promote financial stability

While making her allegations, Gloria Orwoba indicated powerful forces operating from the Head of State His Excellency President William Ruto's Statehouse residence have been pushing the government to introduce the notes with their own selfish interests in mind.

Specifically, Gloria Orwoba alleged that the Statehouse insiders are seeking for the Notes to be introduced in the upcoming days so as to "easily lighten the kilos of cash they would have to be carrying when moving around" different parts of the country.

Affirming her allegations, Orwoba added that the Statehouse insiders have been finding it hard to move around with heavy bundles of cash and would want their work to be much easier for them to sneak away with billions of money through corruption.

"Those kilos (of cash) are too many. Now they want to compress it to a Sh 5,000 so that they can reduce the kilos that they would be moving around with." Gloria Orwoba indicated while making her remarks.

Since the day Gloria Orwoba was ousted out of Senate, she has turned out to be an ardent critic of William Ruto's led Kenya Kwanza government which she served from 2022 where she was a credible voice of the government before she was ousted.
