What Uasin Gishu Residents Were Heard Saying After Sudi Took Aim at Opposition Over Gachagua Visit

Oscar Kipchumba Sudi faced a notable reaction from residents after addressing the political implications of a delegation’s visit to former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua at Wamunyoro.

Sudi urged residents not to look towards the opposition for solutions, arguing that President William Ruto’s administration was better placed to tackle their concerns, including the sensitive question of land ownership.

The remarks, contained in a circulating Facebook video, can be viewed here: WATCH THE VIDEO HERE.

Sudi sought to reassure the residents that the government had not abandoned them and that their grievances could still be addressed through engagement with the administration.

However, the reception from some residents appeared less enthusiastic. During the address, they were heard shouting “ni mbaya”, signalling disagreement with the direction of the political message.
