Ex-Emurua Dikirr MP Ng’eno’s Personal Assistant Benard Ngeno, has called for clarity following remarks by former DP Rigathi Gachagua concerning the circumstances surrounding former MP's death.
In a statement shared on Tuesday, August 11, Ngeno said Gachagua’s remarks should not be dismissed, arguing that the former Deputy President was a senior public figure whose statements on such a sensitive matter carried significant weight.
Ngeno urged the government to thoroughly investigate the information raised by Gachagua and establish whether there was any truth to allegations.

He said the public deserved to know what happened if the claims were supported by credible evidence.
“If it’s true, then we be told who killed Ngeno,” he stated, while insisting that any serious allegations surrounding former MP’s death should be addressed through proper investigative and legal channels.
At the same time, Ngeno cautioned against using claims about the death of a prominent person for political purposes.
He challenged Gachagua to provide evidence to support his allegations if they were accurate, saying the matter should not remain at the level of public statements and political exchanges.
Ngeno also called on the government to either establish the truth behind the claims or demonstrate that the allegations were unfounded.
