ODM Leaders Back Ruto's Affordable Housing Programme

A section of Orange Democratic Movement leaders has come out in support of President William Ruto's Affordable Housing Program, distancing themselves from criticism by the party's Secretary-General, Edwin Sifuna.

Speaking at separate public events, the leaders defended the housing initiative as a development program with the potential to create employment, improve access to decent housing, and stimulate economic growth.

They argued that the project should be evaluated based on its intended benefits rather than political considerations.

The leaders also took issue with Sifuna's recent remarks criticizing the program, saying his views did not necessarily reflect the position of all members within the party.
