Meet Senator Ledama Olekina’s Little Known Son Spotted Herding Cattle Alongside Him on Family Farm

Narok Senator Ledama Olekina has shared a heartwarming glimpse into his life outside politics after posting a video of himself spending quality time with his son while herding cattle at their family ranch.

In the clip, the senator and his son are seen walking side by side across the vast property, guiding a herd of impressive long-horned cattle through the open fields.

Away from the demands of public office, Olekina appeared at ease as he embraced a traditional pastoral activity that reflects the rich heritage of the Maasai community.

The pair worked together to steer the cattle across the grasslands, with the peaceful setting creating a memorable father-and-son experience.

The herd, believed to be made up of Ankole-Watusi or a similar African long-horned breed, moved calmly as the two carried on with the long-standing practice of livestock keeping.

The moment also underscored Olekina's commitment to passing down pastoral traditions and Maasai cultural values to his son through hands-on experiences.

The senator has often expressed his passion for livestock farming and preserving his cultural heritage through activities on his ranch.

The video further showcased Olekina's expansive farm, which is renowned for its high-quality Ankole cattle.

The ranch has become a popular destination for visitors interested in learning about livestock management, experiencing cattle herding, and exploring Maasai traditions.

Situated near the Maasai Mara, the property blends agriculture, tourism, and cultural education by giving guests an opportunity to experience authentic pastoral life.

The touching father-and-son moment offered Kenyans a rare look at Olekina beyond politics, highlighting his devotion to family, farming, and preserving his cultural heritage for future generations.
