"You are Cheating on Me." Laughter as Pres Ruto Reacts to What Wajir People are Doing Behind Scenes

President William Ruto sparked laughter during the 2026 Madaraka Day celebrations in Wajir after making a light-hearted remark while discussing the government's Social Health Authority (SHA) programme.

The Head of State, who was addressing thousands of residents gathered for the national celebrations, took time to engage directly with members of the audience on one of his administration's flagship healthcare reforms.

As he spoke about the importance of the Social Health Authority, Ruto paused and asked residents whether they had registered under the programme.

The question prompted an enthusiastic response from the crowd, with many people raising their hands to indicate that they had already enrolled.

The President appeared pleased by the show of support and acknowledged the positive response from the residents. However, the moment quickly turned humorous when he noticed that not everyone had signaled their registration status.
