WANTED: DCI Finally Reveals 2 Close Friends of Rev Ndumia Who Secretly Plotted His Murder

The Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) has identified two close associates of the late Reverend Julius Ndumia Ngari as key suspects in the murder of the Nakuru-based cleric, with both men still at large.

According to investigators, one of the wanted suspects is a recovering alcoholic whom the reverend had supported through difficult periods in his life.

Police say the church leader frequently offered him casual jobs within the church and helped him rebuild his life. The second suspect is believed to be the individual who delivered a cash donation from a prominent politician to Reverend Ndumia.

Detectives say the donation was intended to support renovation works that were ongoing at PCEA Tabuga Parish in Bahati, Nakuru County.

Investigators revealed that before the killing, an unidentified caller contacted Reverend Ndumia and informed him that money was being delivered to him.

Authorities now believe the suspects may have used information gained through their close relationship with the clergyman to plan the attack.

Police reports indicate that on the night of May 4, armed men posing as police officers stormed the church compound and attacked the reverend at his residence.

The attackers, who were armed with crude weapons, fatally wounded him before fleeing.

So far, four suspects have been arrested in connection with the case.

Two were apprehended in May, while two others were arrested earlier this month.

However, detectives say two additional suspects believed to have played a central role in organising and carrying out the murder remain on the run.

Investigators now suspect that Reverend Ndumia knew some of the people involved in the attack, a development that has shifted the direction of the inquiry.

The killing has also renewed concerns about the safety of religious leaders in Kenya.

In recent years, several clergy members have become victims of violence linked to personal disputes, financial disagreements, and political connections.

As the manhunt continues, detectives remain confident that the remaining suspects will be tracked down and brought before the courts.
