"This is Embarrassing" Angry Miguna Fires at Ruto Over the Following Demand While in Norway

Lawyer and political commentator Miguna Miguna has launched a sharp attack on President William Ruto following the Head of State's visit to Norway, questioning the government's pursuit of foreign partners to manage Kenya's maritime infrastructure.

In a strongly worded statement, Miguna expressed disbelief that an African president would travel abroad seeking what he described as “an operator of a shipping port,” arguing that such a move reflects a lack of confidence in local capacity.

He questioned whether the proposed fishing port at the center of the discussions even exists, claiming the trip raises more questions than answers.

“How can an African president visit Norway to seek an operator of a shipping port and claim that such primitivity benefits Kenya?” Miguna posed, terming the development embarrassing for a country that has long positioned itself as a regional economic powerhouse.

His remarks come amid growing scrutiny of the government's international investment strategy, with critics demanding greater transparency on foreign agreements and infrastructure partnerships.

Supporters of the administration, however, maintain that attracting experienced global operators can improve efficiency, create jobs, and unlock investment opportunities.
