The Culprit In The Impeachment Of Rigathi Is Ruto, But He Will Not Win In Our Democracy- Havi

The outspoken former President of the Law Society of Kenya, Nelson Havi, has shared his thoughts on the judgment rendered by the High Court a few days ago. 

He has revealed that the constitution of Kenya wanted the Presidency to be elected on a joint ticket to stop one of them from using state operatives to edge his counterpart out of government.

Havi has revealed that the person who wanted Rigathi Gachagua out of government was the President who used the state operatives to succeed in his mission. 

He was keen to note that Ruto went out of his way to bribe Members of Parliament and make sure that the process was very fast and infringed the rights of Rigathi Gachagua.

Havi has indicated that Ruto would have succeeded in killing the political career of Rigathi Gachagua if there were no courts in Kenya. 

He was keen to note that the impeachment process is not a finality in a country where democracy has ruled most of the time.

Havi has noted that Gachagua managed to show the court that his rights were infringed and awarding him fifty million was an insult.
