Suna East Member of Parliament Junet Mohamed has alleged that Kiharu MP Ndindi Nyoro supported the Finance Bill 2026, and that this was the main reason he traveled out of the country during the voting process.
Junet made the remarks after the National Assembly passed the Finance Bill 2026 with amendments. He claimed that several legislators who backed the Bill chose to avoid the chamber during voting to evade public backlash.
According to him, Ndindi’s absence was deliberate, aimed at dodging accountability while still aligning with the government’s position. Meanwhile, MP Ndindi Nyoro has faced heavy criticism for being absent during the crucial vote.
Majority of Kenyans who took to social media platforms argued that his absence reflected support for President William Ruto’s administration.
