June, a Kenyan student at the University of Newcastle in New South Wales, reportedly died on Sunday, 1 June 2026, just weeks before she was expected to complete her studies and graduate. 

Her family had been eagerly awaiting her graduation, which was seen as a major milestone after years of sacrifice and dedication to her education.
