Speaking on Friday from his Kikuyu constituency, the Ruto allied MP claimed that Gachagua has been fighting President William Ruto from inside the party. He said Gachagua had been speaking ill of President Ruto at night, claiming that he is a one-term president.
He went ahead to accuse the DP, claiming he has been saying that he will marshal his Mt Kenya community to rebel against Ruto in 2027 so that he can prove he is the one who delivered the presidency to Ruto.
"Stop telling people at night that William Ruto is a one term president and you will marshall your community to undermine the government of Ruto so that he feels that you made him become the president. If you want to become the president of Kenya, work in the position you have been given today to deliver and when your time comes, they will see leadership in you," stated Ichungwa
On his part, defense CS Aden Duale warned individuals who are out to divide Kenyans in the pretence of unity, saying they have no place in the country and should rather consider exploring other countries.
"Regional politics ended in 2013, that has no place in our country," stated Duale who was accompanying Ichungwa
DP Gachagua has also hit back, warning MPs who are talking ill against him in parliament. Speaking in Ruai Nairobi, Gachagua allied
"Viongozi tuache kutukana wanaichi, tuache kula tukishiba tunawatukanana. Wewe kama umekula vizuri sawa, wale bado hawajakula achia hawa heshima tu," stated Gachagua
