BREAKING NEWS; 7 Kenyan Police Officers Allegedly Reported Dead In Haiti

Kenyan police arrived in violence-ravaged Haiti on June 25 on a long-awaited mission to help wrest the Caribbean nation from powerful gangs.

But a recent image circulating on social media has sparked controversy and concern regarding the alleged deaths of seven Kenyan police officers in Haiti.

The first 400 Kenyan police arrived in Haiti this week, part of a multinational force that will attempt to bring stability back the country.

The image, shared widely across various platforms, shows a group of armed individuals on a deserted street with a bold text overlay stating, "7 Kenya police reported dead in Haiti aki Ruto God will never forgive you."

Gangs control most of Haiti's capital, Port-au-Prince. But the Kenyan police arrived in Haiti as the same police force was firing on protesters in Kenya's capital, Nairobi. We hear about what is happening both in Haiti and in Kenya.

The image also features the word "FAKE" stamped across it multiple times, indicating it has been debunked.

The deployment has faced several delays and legal challenges, including being declared illegal by the Kenyan High Court at one point.

The origin of the image appears to be a TikTok post by the user @princenafmchelsea. The emotionally charged caption and the use of crying emojis further was added to the post ,causing many to react with alarm.

Last week, Kenya reached an agreement with the Haitian government on rules of engagement for the security personnel, who may face fierce opposition from the well-armed gangs that have taken control of Haiti's capital and overwhelmed local police.
