Photo Show Glimpse Of House Which Was Built For The Late Sheila As Body Lands in Kanyada For Burial

The late Sheila Wegesha, who was sadly killed in her house in Athi River has arrived at her first husband's home for burial in Homa Bay.

This came after Nairobi residents trooped to Umoja estate's Tena Grounds to view the body of the late Sheila Wegesha, who was allegedly stabbed to death by her husband Jack Bamboo. 

The beloved businesswoman was stabbed to death allegedly by her husband, Jack Bamboo, who is still at large.

KSh 429, 620 collected by well-wishers A video shared by Jano the Governor, showed people who had gathered at the venue to view the body, and many of them still had looks of disbelief and sorrow on their faces. 

Sheila’s mutilated body was discovered in a house in Athi River, Machakos County, where she lived with Jackson Bambo, alias JB, a 45-year-old businessman who has since gone into hiding.

A night vigil with music was also held for the late businesswoman, where people sang and danced. 

Sheila, was reportedly in a troubled marriage with Jackson, linked to claims of infidelity. Her daughter, Linda Okinyi, discovered her mother’s body on the afternoon of May 10 when she went to serve her lunch.

In a different post, Jano intimated that Wegesha's loved ones had collected KSh 429,620 from the the candle lighting and harambee held at Egesa. 

Sheila had deep cuts on her throat, and it is believed she was killed on the night of May 9. Linda told detectives that Jackson left their home around 1 a.m. on the night of the murder in a Mitsubishi Outlander without saying a word.

"May I take this opportunity to thank each and every one of you for your participation in making the day a success. Our total collection will go to the burial expenses for the late Wegesha," read a post by Jano on Facebook. 

In an interview with The Nairobian, Odoyo revealed that he had secretly planned to reunite with Sheila, whom he referred to as his first wife.

"Our journey to Kanyada Homa Bay county will be on May 28, and burial on May 29. Go well Sheila Wegesha," read another part. 

They had been estranged since 2017 but had maintained communication, particularly concerning the upbringing of their three children. Despite their separation, Odoyo had hoped for a reconciliation.
