A 38-year-old businesswoman tragically died while having sex with a taxi driver in his house.
The incident occurred in the Mabaale zone, where the driver, identified as Joel Ssenyonga, had brought the woman home after meeting her on the roadside.
According to reports, Ssenyonga approached the woman on Tuesday evening and convinced her to accompany him to his house.
The woman agreed, and they spent the night together. During their sexual encounter, the woman suddenly became unconscious and died despite Ssenyonga's efforts to revive her using a piece of cloth.
Panic-stricken and unsure of what to do next, Ssenyonga called a friend for help in disposing of the body. However, instead of assisting him, the friend tipped off the police.
When law enforcement arrived, they arrested Ssenyonga, who was planning to dump the woman’s body in the bush. He was taken into custody and is now facing a murder charge.
The case has sparked significant attention in the local community. Neighbors revealed that Ssenyonga was known for bringing different women to his house regularly. The police have detained him at Kasana Police Station while the investigation continues.
In a similar incident, a man in Kilifi, Kenya, recently died in his girlfriend's house under tragic circumstances.
Bernard Omayo, 30, was spending the night with Cecilia Chepkirui when he choked on his saliva during their intimate moments and died while being rushed to the hospital.
The death of the businesswoman and the arrest of Ssenyonga have raised discussions about personal safety and responsibility.
The police are urging the public to be cautious and mindful of the risks associated with casual relationships.
