JUST IN:Raila's Competitor for AUC Job Visits Kenya, Campaigns for his Bid, Meets top Leader (Photos)

Raila Odinga will be vying for African Union Commission Chairperson seat next year. He is one of the leaders from East African Community who have already successfully submitted their candidature to AU in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.

Today, Mahmoud Ali, Djibouti's foreign minister took his campaigns to Nairobi. He met with Kenyan Prime Cabinet Secretary and Foreign Affairs CS Musalia Mudavadi at his Railways Headquarters, Nairobi to campaign for his Bid in AUC Chairperson seat.

Taking to his twitter account, he said, "I met this morning with Kenyan Prime minister Musalia Mudavadi in Nairobi as Part of my campaign tour for the position of chairman of the AU Commission".

Former Prime Minister of the Republic of Kenya, Raila Odinga had made his bid to become the next African Union Commission (AUC) chairperson official.

The bid was submitted by the State Department for Foreign Affairs Principal Secretary Korir Sing’oei and a host members from Raila’s secretariat, in Addis Ababa, on Monday.

The development cleared the air on the government's commitment to Raila's candidature after weeks of speculations sparked by anti-government protests.
