"Hapana Sumbua Mimi, Tukutane 2027" Angry Ruto Dares Gen Z Protesters Ahead Of NaneNane Protests

On July 10, 2024, President William Ruto addressed the nation, urging young protesters, particularly those from Generation Z, to exercise patience and wait for the next general election in 2027 to express their political preferences.

Speaking at the commissioning of the Kibuka Power substation in Kajiado County, Ruto emphasized the importance of upholding peace and democracy in Kenya.

Ruto's comments come in the wake of recent protests against his government and the Finance Bill 2024.  He acknowledged the frustrations of the young protesters but insisted that the proper way to bring about change is through the electoral process.
